Humans,motivated to ensure their reproductive success not only by picking the highest quality mate they can get but also by taking others on the side. Is it sexual fidelity or social monogamy? " It might be said that one partner or the other is not fulfilling their responsibility and so out of necessity one might reach out beyond the monogamous relationship. If a women is responsibly fulfilling her duties to the relationship, she need not be threatened by the occassional roving eye of her partner.
